Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Estimator / Insurance Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the scope of work required for window, siding, and roofing projects, both for residential and commercial properties. Additionally, you will collaborate with insurance companies to evaluate and negotiate insurance claims related to storm damage, ensuring that our customers receive fair and timely settlements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess the condition of windows, siding, and roofing systems.
- Accurately measure and document project specifications, including materials needed, labor costs, and project timelines.
- Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for window, siding, and roofing projects, ensuring clarity and transparency for customers.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to evaluate property damage claims, including documenting and photographing damage, and preparing estimates for repair or replacement.
- Communicate effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status, address any concerns, and facilitate a smooth resolution of insurance claims.
- Negotiate with insurance adjusters to ensure that our customers receive fair and equitable settlements for storm damage claims.
- Stay current on industry trends, building codes, and best practices related to window, siding, and roofing installations, as well as insurance claim processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an estimator or insurance adjuster in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on window, siding, and roofing projects.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately assess property damage and develop cost-effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant tools to generate accurate project estimates and proposals.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits and inspections.
