We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's team, supporting our accounting team in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, have experience in personal tax accounting, and demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients.
Record and categorize financial transactions in an organized manner.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.

Data Entry and Coding:

Enter financial transactions into accounting software with precision and attention to detail.
Assign appropriate expense categories and codes to ensure accurate reporting.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.

Bank Reconciliation:

Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Financial Reporting:

Generate and prepare financial reports as needed for clients.
Provide accurate financial information to support tax preparation.

Tax Documentation and Support:

Assist the Personal Tax Accountant in gathering and organizing tax-related documents.
Ensure all necessary information is available for the tax filing process.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries and provide assistance.
Collaborate with the Personal Tax Accountant to ensure seamless coordination of financial activities.

Compliance:

Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact clients.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a tax accounting setting.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Attention to Detail:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain financial concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.

Integrity:

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
