Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive In-House Counsel to join our team. This role will focus heavily on contract review, negotiation, and management, as well as handling and advising on collection efforts. You’ll work closely with leadership, project managers, and third-party vendors to protect the company’s legal interests while keeping projects moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, insurance companies, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Provide legal advice on construction agreements and service terms
  • Manage and coordinate collections efforts, including demand letters, lien filings, and legal escalation
  • Develop internal policies and templates to streamline legal processes
  • Assist with resolving disputes and mitigating risk
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (construction, debt collection, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a focus on contracts and collections
  • Familiarity with construction, home services, or restoration industry is a big plus
  • Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a practical, business-minded approach to legal solutions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
